Lake Charles, LA –
On November 29, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home on E. Jovita Lane in Moss Bluff in reference to a shooting.
During the initial investigation, detectives learned there was an argument between the victim and Scott Boudreaux, 47, Lake Charles, earlier in the evening at a restaurant. According to witness statements and evidence collected at the scene, once they returned to the home, the verbal altercation turned physical at which time Boudreaux retrieved a firearm from a nearby safe and shot the victim.
Boudreaux was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated 2nd degree battery. Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $175,000.
The victim was airlifted to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
The investigation is continuing.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
