Lake Charles, LA –
Yesterday evening, November 25, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home in Lake Charles after receiving information from the Louisiana State Police LA-SAFE (Louisiana Analytical & Fusion Exchange) in reference to a school threat.
During the investigation detectives learned a 12 year old made a threat online about a shooting at a unspecified school. When detectives spoke with the boy, who attends F.K. White Middle School, he confirmed he made the threat. He was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with menacing.
CPSO Detective Roger Pete is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
