Lake Charles, LA –
On the evening of Friday, November 8, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were working a joint undercover operation targeting online offenders attempting to solicit minors for sexual acts with the FBI and Louisiana State Police.
During the operation, investigators made contact with Wilson J. Washington, III, 28, Lake Charles. Washington was chatting with what he thought to be a 16 year old girl and messaging her about committing sexual acts. Detectives made contact with Wilson at a local park in Lake Charles, where he thought he was meeting up with the girl.
He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged indecent behavior with juveniles; and computer aided solicitation of a minor. Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $150,000.
CPSO Special Victims Unit Detective Alexander Vincent is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
