Lake Charles, LA –
Earlier today, at approximately 12:30 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were dispatched to Lake Charles Charter Academy in reference to a threat made by a student.
During the investigation it was learned a 14 year old made a threat to bring a gun to school and shoot everyone. He was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing-menacing.
This makes the seventh CPSO arrest this school year in reference to threats. CPSO Detective Mika Liptak is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
