CPSO ARRESTS STUDENT FOR THREAT

Lake Charles, LA –

 

Earlier today, at approximately 1:00 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to Moss Bluff Middle School in reference to a threat made by a student. 

           

During the investigation it was learned a 13 year old threatened to bring a gun to school.  It was also learned the boy made the threat while at school to multiple students.  After further investigation, he was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing-menacing. 

 

CPSO Detective Clay Planchard is the lead investigator on this case.  The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted CPSO with the investigation. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
