CPSO RESPONDS TO ACCIDENTAL DEATH

Lake Charles, LA –

 

Yesterday, October 14, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Armentor Road in Sulphur in reference to an ATV accident.  The initial investigation revealed two juveniles were operating a Polaris RZR when it tipped over.  The 11-year-old passenger was partially ejected from the ATV. 

           

Deputies performed life saving measures on the child prior to him being transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead due to the injuries sustained from the accident.  The driver of the ATV was not physically injured. 

           

The investigation is continuing, but foul play or criminal activity is not suspected, the death appears to be accidental.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
