CPSO ARRESTS STUDENT FOR THREAT

Lake Charles, LA –

 

Earlier this morning, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to F.K. White Middle School in reference to a threat made by a student. 

           

During the investigation it was learned a 14 year old made a threat to shoot up a football game, scheduled for tonight.  It was also learned the suspect made the threat while at school.  After further investigation, he was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing-menacing. 

 

CPSO Detective Mika Liptak is the lead investigator on this case.  The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted CPSO with the investigation. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
