Lake Charles, LA –
On July 1 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a complaint in reference to Jonathan J. Landry, 34, Lake Charles.
During the investigation detectives were advised Landry sexually assaulted a girl under the age of 10. After further investigation, on July 11, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Detectives attempted to locate Landry but were unsuccessful.
On August 4, Landry turned himself in, at which time he was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 1st degree rape. Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $1 million.
CPSO Special Victims Unit Detective Jeff Atkinson is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
