CPSO ARREST MAN FOR INDECENT BEHAVIOR WITH JUVENILES

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On May 31, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit detectives received a complaint in reference to indecent behavior with a juvenile.

           

During the investigation, detectives were advised Leeroy S. Hymel III, 38, Robert, Louisiana, was exchanging sexually explicit images and messages with a girl under the age of 15.  After further investigation, on July 12, detectives issued a warrant for Hymel’s arrest.

           

On July 15, Hymel was located in Robert, LA, with the assistance of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.  When detectives spoke with him he confirmed the allegations against him.  He was arrested and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile.  Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $250,000.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
