The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run that occurred on June 8 on Pujol Road, near I-10, in Lake Charles.
During the initial investigation, it was learned the driver of a truck was headed northbound on Pujol Road when it struck a small SUV from behind. The driver did not stop and fled the scene. The truck will have major front end damage.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives attempted to locate the suspect, but due to switched tags have been unable to do so. They are asking anyone with information related to this case to call CPSO at 491-3605.
CPSO Sgt. Kerrick Gabriel, Jr., is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
