Lake Charles, LA –
Yesterday, June 16, around 11:30 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence on Santa Anna Drive in Moss Bluff in reference to a deceased man.
When deputies arrived at the home, they located David P. Savoie, 52, DeQuincy, deceased inside the residence. Detectives determined the death to be a homicide and identified a person of interest as Enrique D. Ruano II, 29, Lake Charles. After further investigation Judge Tony Fazzio issued a warrant for Ruano’s arrest. Earlier this morning detectives located Ruano at a local hospital. He was taken into custody and arrested. He will be booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center and charged with 2nd degree murder. His bond is set at $650,000.
The investigation is ongoing, the coroner will determine cause of death.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
