Lake Charles, LA –
Earlier this morning, at approximately 8:45 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a possible body floating in the waterway near Old Highway 90/Burnout Bridge in Vinton. CPSO Marine Division arrived on scene and was able to recover the body.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages, it is unknown at this time if foul play is involved. The investigation is continuing and more information will be released once it becomes available.
The coroner will determine cause of death.
*Update: The body has been identified as Garrett Harrell, Jr., 33, New Orleans, LA. The investigation is continuing.
