Lake Charles, LA –
On February 10, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a complaint regarding carnal knowledge of a juvenile. During the investigation, detectives learned Antonio R. Chavez, 43, Sulphur, had sexual intercourse with a juvenile under the age of 17 and photographed the incident.
On February 11, Chavez was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile; and pornography involving juveniles. Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $250,000.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible. CPSO Detective Kara Adams is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
