Lake Charles, LA –
On August 9, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives began investigating a sexual battery complaint involving a juvenile. The suspect, Dalton T. Arrant, 23, Sulphur, was questioned by detectives at which time he confirmed the allegations involving the victim.
On September 22, Arrant was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. He is charged with sexual battery of a juvenile under the age of 13. Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $750,000.
CPSO Detective Kimberly Curran and Detective Sonny Schiro are the lead investigators on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
