The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Youth/D.A.R.E. Division will be holding their Annual Youth Fishing Derby Saturday, March 19, from 7:00 a.m.—10:00 a.m. at the CPSO Farm Pond behind the Calcasieu Correctional Center at 5400 E. Broad Street in Lake Charles.
Participants, who must be 15 years of age or younger, are asked to bring their own fishing gear, bait, lawn chairs, and a cooler to bring their fish home. The first 100 kids will receive a t-shirt. Refreshments will be furnished.
This is event is offered to kids free of charge. Youth groups are welcome.
