resolution by Tony Mancuso, Sheriff and Ex-Officio Chief Executive Officer of the Calcasieu Parish Law Enforcement District, ordering and calling for the renewal of and the
continued levy and collection of an existing tax of one-quarter (1/4%) percent upon the sale at retail, the use, the consumption, the distribution, the storage for use or consumption, and the
lease or rental, of each item or article of tangible personal property and on all sales of services, as defined by law, for a period of ten (10) years from the date of the first levy of the tax
renewal as called for by the voters to be placed on the ballot in an election to be held in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, on or about October 9, 2021, in accordance with applicable state laws and
regulations, and to make application to the Louisiana State Bond Commission, and providing for other matters in connection therewith. The current one-quarter (1/4%) percent sales and use
tax expires on September 30, 2023, and the renewal of
same, if approved, will commence on October 1, 2023 and expire on September 30, 2033.
