Lake Charles, LA –
Last night Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were dispatched to the Calcasieu Correctional Center in reference to a deceased inmate, Santana N. Lebine, 34, Lake Charles.
During the initial investigation it was learned at approximately 7:30 p.m. other inmates sharing a cell with Lebine found her unresponsive, at which time they notified correctional deputies. Deputies attempted to revive Lebine, but she was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The Calcasieu Coroner will determine cause of death, but foul play is not suspected.
