Lake Charles, LA –
On June 29 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a complaint in reference to Caleb L. Trahan, 19, 5859 Tom Hebert Road, #499, Lake Charles, raping a 17 year old girl, who was an ex-acquaintance of Trahan.
During the investigation the victim told detectives that on June 27 she was at Trahan’s former residence when he got on top of her and held her arms over her head and had sexual intercourse with her. She stated she told Trahan “no” several times and attempted to push him away but he would not stop.
Detectives attempted to make contact with Trahan, and on September 8 when he was interviewed by detectives, he confirmed he had sexual intercourse with the victim. After further investigation, on September 14 Judge Guy Bradberry signed a warrant in the amount of $100,000 for Trahan’s arrest. He was located later the same day and arrested and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with third degree rape.
CPSO Detective Sarah Stubbs is the lead investigator on this case.
