On March 28 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice Division received information from a concerned parent in Calcasieu Parish regarding her 14 year old son receiving nude images and having sexually explicit conversations with a woman via the boy’s PlayStation 4. The investigation revealed the parent randomly searched the boy’s account and discovered the conversations and images. After reviewing the evidence, Vice detectives were able to positively identify the woman as Jennifer A. Smith, 34, Bossier City, LA.
On April 5 detectives obtained a warrant for Smith’s arrest in the amount of $50,000 signed by Judge David Ritchie. She was located on April 11 and arrested and booked into the Bossier Parish Correctional Facility. On April 12 she was transported and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with computer aided solicitation of a minor; and indecent behavior with a juvenile. Smith was released the next day with special conditions of bond being she can have no contact with the victim or any minor children and she cannot commit any other crimes.
