Lake Charles, LA –

In June CPSO deputies that work in the Hayes area were made aware of a group of low level drug users and dealers that have been frequenting or living in Hayes and were becoming a nuisance to other members in the community.  The Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (CAT Team) along with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office coordinated an operation to target these people involved in illegal narcotics activity in Hayes.  They conducted covert operations, as well as, operations utilizing uniformed patrolmen in the Hayes area, which resulted in several arrests. The investigation was driven by information obtained during arrests and by sources that came forward with information.

Since July the following three people have been arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center

“This will not be tolerated in Hayes or any other community in our parish.  The good people of Hayes deserve to live in a community without being troubled by those who choose to be involved with illegal narcotic activity,” stated Sheriff Tony Mancuso.  “If you have information on drug activity anywhere in Calcasieu Parish, please call the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force Tip Line at (337) 431-8001.”
