CLOSURE OF CALCASIEU RIVER BOAT LAUNCHES DUE TO RISING WATER ON RIVER

 Lake Charles –

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office announces the closure of all boat launches from the Salt Water Barrier north to White Oak / Bayou Serpent due to rising water on the river. The entire Calcasieu River is also now under a “No Wake Zone.” These safety measures will be enforced until further notice.

Please note the Calcasieu River is closed to recreational traffic; commercial traffic will still be allowed.
