Lake Charles –
Today, December 21, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a vehicle that matched the description of a car that had been reported stolen to the Lake Charles Police Department yesterday, December 20. When deputies attempted to stop the vehicle on Highway 397 in Lake Charles, the driver did not comply and continued to flee. The vehicle became stuck on the railroad tracks on N. Thompson Ave. in Iowa and the juvenile driver along with Jaylon Guillory, 17, 1816 8th Ave., Lake Charles, and a juvenile passenger fled the vehicle. After a brief foot pursuit deputies, along with assistance from the Iowa Police Department and the Louisiana State Police, were able to locate and arrest all three suspects.
Guillory was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle; and flight from an officer. His bond has not yet been set. The juvenile driver is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle; aggravated flight from an officer; and flight from an officer. The juvenile passenger is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle; and flight from an officer. The juveniles will be transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
At this time the vehicle has been removed from the railroad tracks and they are now operating.
