CPSO Arrests 2 For Simple Criminal Damage To Property

Lake Charles, LA –

On Friday April 3, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a call in reference to a criminal property damage.  Upon arrival deputies spoke with the victim, who advised that someone had keyed her car.  The victim told deputies she was at a local bar the night before and believed that is where the incident may have taken place.  During the investigation, detectives received video surveillance footage from the bar, showing Britney Ogea, 28, 6631 Hwy 3059, Lake Charles, and Joseph Miller, 25, 1659 E. Lincoln Road, Lake Charles, keying the victim’s car, causing approximately $4,500 worth of damage.  When deputies spoke with Ogea and Miller they confirmed they keyed the victim’s car.

On April 7, Ogea and Miller were booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and were both charged with simple criminal damage to property $500 to $50,000.

Judge Michael Canady set their bonds at $15,000 each.
